The Band:

How many of you are there?
Take Cover consists of 5 band members:  A Female Vocalist, Drummer, Bass Guitar Player, Guitarist and Keyboard Player.

Performing:

How long do you play for?
We normally perform about 2 hours of live music, however the choice is yours.  We can offer 2 sets of 45 minutes with a break, 2 sets of 1 hour with a break or 3 sets of 45 minutes with breaks.  This totally depends on what you would

Will you provide background Music?
Yes, if you require music over dinner or before and in between set breaks.  We provide a CD player and a MP3 player with pre-recorded background / party music.  Or you can provide the music for the occasion; we can support the following formats:  CD, MP3 or an ipod.  We also offer to play some live background music should you wish to have it for example over your meal (this is at an extra cost).  This would consist of Keyboard and Guitar.

Do you accept Song Requests?
Yes, we accept first dance requests for weddings regardless of whether or not the song is in our play list.  If it’s not in our play list then we request at least 6 weeks notice to give us sufficient time to learn your song.

Where can you see us play?
Most of our engagements are private but we do try to hold a few public performances throughout the year where you can come along and hear us play.

How long do you need to set up?
Usually we need 1 ½ hours but we have been known to set up within 45 minutes! We always get the background music set up ASAP to keep the party mood flowing.

How is the playlist decided?
From our experience, we know what works well at party’s so we have a good general idea of what to play.  We try to gauge the mood of the people on the dance floor and keep the crowd dancing all night.  We will of course aim to play anything that you pick from our set list – it’s your party!

Do you supply lights?
As a part of our package we supply disco lights.

General:

What will you wear?
This very much depends on the event that we are performing at but Take Cover always dresses smartly on and off the stage!

How much Space do you require?
We require approx 4m x 2m with two 13amp mains sockets in close proximity of the playing area.

Do you have adequate insurance cover?
Take Cover have public liability insurance for up to £2,000,000.  many venues will not allow bands to play unless they have public liability insurance. Click here if you wish to view this document.

Booking:

How much do you charge?
Unfortunately, it is really difficult to give an indication of cost without knowing a bit more about your event and what your choice is of playing times.  But Contact us now for a quote without obligation.

How much deposit do you require?
Bookings are confirmed by receipt of £150.00 deposit and a signed contract with full details of the event.  Balance payment is required no later 2 weeks before the booking if paying by cheque, or alternatively by cash paid on the night.

What happens if I cancel?
In the event of a cancellation, the following cancellation fees will apply:
More than 12 weeks prior – no cancellation fee
6-12 weeks prior – 50% of the fee required
Less than 2 weeks prior – No refund
